Aysgarthian Senior Race Won in Record Time
The 9th Aysgarthian Run took place on Sunday 6th March. Supported by 150 participants including parents, siblings and their dogs, we are thrilled to announce that George Holder, 11yrs won the senior race in a new record time and George West, 11 yrs won the Junior race. Also just over a staggering £7,000 in sponsorship money was raised to help the son of Michelle Jameson, matron at the School. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.
Jason Jameson, the son of Michelle, who has worked as a matron at the Prep Boarding and Day School for 12 years, was severely wounded whilst serving with the Bomb Disposal Squad in Afghanistan in December. Jason is making good progress in his rehabilitation programme, and the Prep and Pre-Prep School wanted to help raise funds to support his recovery.
